The country is in lockdown due to Coronavirus Pandemic. Everyone is advised to stay at home to curb the spread of the virus. Although it is said by the World Health Organisation that pets cannot get infected by or spread Coronavirus, but there are other health issues that our pets may face. It is also important to maintain social distancing and going out should be avoided. So we are here to tell you which all pet issues should be treated as an emergency and should be taken care of immediately and which all issues can wait or can be cured at home.

Health issues in pets that qualify as an emergency:
1) Seizures
2) Excessive Vomiting or diarrhea
3) Fractured bones, severe lameness or inability to move leg(s)
4) Choking, difficulty breathing or nonstop coughing and gagging
5) Bleeding from the nose, mouth, rectum, coughing up blood, or blood in the urine
6) Inability to urinate or pass feces (stool), or obvious pain associated with urinating or passing stool
7) Injuries to your pet is eye(s) 8) You suspect or know your pet has eaten something poisonous (such as antifreeze, xylitol, chocolate, rodent poison, etc.)
9) Refusal to drink for 24 hours or more
10) Unconsciousness
11) Heat stress or heatstroke
12) Hard and swollen abdomen
13) Injury in a traumatic accident or an attack by another animal
14) Any kind of bite (snake bite, insect bite, etc.) or serious allergic reaction to the skin
15) Unusual or persistent vocalization through whining or crying, which can be a sign of severe pain
16) Persistent inactivity for more than 3 days (till 1 day is fine)
